Metal Braces

Traditional metal brackets are what most patients picture when they think of braces, and there’s a reason we still use them—they are effective!  Metal brackets are cemented to each tooth and are easily removed following treatment.  Arch wires run across each bracket to connect the teeth and align them. Modern innovations allow us to use highly specific metals for these wires, making them incredibly safe and predictable for moving teeth. The arch wires come in different sizes and stiffness and are changed throughout treatment. Elastic ties secure the wires in place and colors can be selected to suit you each visit!

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic brackets are made of a transparent ceramic that blends with the tooth surface.  This technique works well for patients desiring a more discrete treatment option.
