I am honored to be recognized by my peers as a “Top Dentist” in the Madison area.
Clinical Focus:
My desire to learn is on-going through 8+ years of continuing education in all aspects of general dentistry. I’ve taken a special interest in clear aligners and integrative orthodontic treatment. I feel these services are a large part of providing “preventive” dental care. Many routine dental problems we treat relate to teeth being improperly positioned. A “bad bite” can result in damage to both the teeth and the joints. Improperly positioned teeth may limit our ability to place restorations, affect the longevity of those restorations, and can even play a role in premature tooth loss. Our dental arch and the position of our teeth are much like the foundation and framework of our home— if constructed with proper shape and angulation, they are more likely to bear the load placed on them over a lifetime.
Malocclusion (an improper bite) often goes beyond the teeth themselves. Oral habits, facial development, facial muscles, and our airway are all major factors contributing to how our teeth line up. My current clinical practice is largely focused on helping patients and families recognize these relationships and intervening when appropriate. I am fortunate to be mentored by and working alongside Dr. Paschen, who has dedicated the last 20 years of his practice exclusively to orthodontic treatment. As Dr. Paschen moves toward retirement, I look forward to dedicating an even greater portion of my practice to orthodontic care.
Outside the Office:
My family keeps me balanced and brings me so much joy. My husband, Dr. Reid Imerman, is a general dentist at Dental Associates of Baraboo. We have two wonderful children that help me appreciate small things each day (and have given me a whole new level of respect for moms)! When I’m not focused on teeth, you’ll likely find me cooking a new recipe, challenging my fitness, or spending time outdoors.
